Music Production at the XCentre

Welcome to the XCentre.

We are a community training centre based on Commercial Road, near Exeter quay. We work both with the business sector and the third sector, using revenues to offer our services for free where we can.

The XCentre has extensive media facilities, including Music, Video, Graphics and Publishing, and can offer media production, software training or workshops. To compliment this we have a conference suite, training kitchen, IT suite and lounge. This enables us to offer life and career skills training, such as healthy eating, budgeting and managing a tenancy.

Making the Community Our Business

Our priority will always be to help those who cannot access opportunities, through physical, mental, emotional or economic barriers. However, as a charity we have to find money, just like everyone else! This is where our commercial activity comes in. Our aim is to provide professional quality services to businesses and use the revenues to enable our community work. Beyond this, we also seek to bring together the business and third sector, to help each learn from the other and to break down some of the barriers which prevent community cohesion.

It is essential for services to work together, especially in tough economic times, and we are proud to cooperate with many different groups in Exeter, from Careers South West to the RAMM (museum). We are always interested in potential partnerships, whether offering volunteering opportunities or working on long-term projects.
